** FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS **


1. What is included in the rental rate rate? Rent covers for your staying at Mambo Beach Apartment. As guest of Mambo Beach Apartment you have free access to the resort's pool, private beach, and Hemingway Beach Bar which is just steps away. Your rental fee also includes weekly cleaning of the property, a basic provision of food in the fridge, and a bottle of wine compliments from us.  

2. Do I have to pay additional taxes? Any hidden charge? Rental fee includes all sort of taxes. There is no additional taxes nor hidden charges.

3. What is your reservation policy? Our standard terms are 40% of the total payment to reserve the property and balance a week prior arrival. Nevertheless, there are exceptions for those reserving extensive periods (2 weeks, 1 month)  or way in advance, such a 6 months to a year in advance. For those cases, we can reduce the reservation fee provided you can prove you are indeed committed to rent the property.  

5. What is your cancellation policy? Hotel If we can rent the rent the property for the time period you have reserved, we will return your reservation deposit.

6. What are the accepted payment methods? Either check or electronic transference is ok with us. Credit cards are still not accepted but we are working to have the system in place very soon.

7. Can we bring additional guests at the last minute? No problem. An extra charge of USS$ 20 per person per day applies.

6. What are the check in/out times? We are quite flexible on this, unless we have guests leaving and entering on the same day. On those days, we ask guests to leave by noon and while require about 4 hours to fully clean the property. 

7. Where is the hotel area located, how far is from the airport? The Seaquarium area is located east of Curacao International Airport at about 30 to 40 minutes driving. Refer to  driving directions in this website for more details. Besides the Curacao Ocean Resort (where Mambo Beach Apartment is located) there are three major hotels in the area ( Breezes, Lions Dive & Royal Seaquarium Resort ) in addtion to the Seaquarium facilities.

8. Should I rent the car at the airport or later at the hotel area? Both options are possible. Driving from the airport is not complicated and it is very convenient specially during your return.

9. If I decide to take a taxi what is the estimated fare? What is the exact address to give the driver? Taxi fare is about US$ 40.  Ask the driver to take you to the Seaquarium area. Once you get there inform the guard at the check point that you are staying at the Curacao Ocean Resort. We provide guest of property with detail instruction to gain access to Mambo Beach Apartment once we have entered into a final agreement to rent the property.

10. Will we meet at the residence at our arrival? How do we get the keys? We will be in close contact prior to your arrival. Usually we meet at the property but please feel to call us as soon as you arrive if you have problems with transportation or finding the property.

11. How does the free access to Curacao Marriott Beach Resort works? Which resort facilities can I make use of? You will receive corporate membership cards at your arrival. Cardholders have same rights as any other hotel guest, plus you are entitled to some discounts in some of the restaurants at Marriott.

12. How long doest it take me to walk to Seaquarium facilties from Mambo Beach Apartment? Seaquarium facilties are just steps away from the property, maybe 3-4 minutes walk

13. Is the pool and beach area of Curacao Ocean Resort usually crowded? How many apartments make use of the pool/beach ? There is always few guests around the pool area and the beach. Some guest just getting a sun tan. Curacao Ocean Resort has about 25 apartments/villas all of which have access to the pool area.

14. Is the property equipped with kitchens utensils, silverware, linens, etc. Property is fully equipped with almost everything you can imagine.

15. Does the property has satellite TV channels available? Property has a very nice 52" flat TV screen at the living room connected to local cable supplier with access to typical satellite channels such as CNN, ESPN, TNT, USA Network. Additionally, you have a couple of local channels and access to several Venezuelan TV stations.

16. Does the property has a central sound system? Our property is equipped with a top of the line Bang & Olufsen reaching all areas of the property including the outside terrace and bathrooms. Every main area is equipped with local command centers that allows you to tune the right volume for that area or just turn it off. 

17. Does the property has a central air conditioning system? Yes it has. Guests are free to keep it on as much as they want or just open the windows and enjoy the fresh marine breeze present all year around.

18. Can you smoke inside the property? Our property is a smoke free one. Nevertheless, smoking outside terrace it is allowed. 

19. Does the property offers guests with outdoor pool chairs and shower at the outside terrace? Yes, property terrace has a couple of outdoor pool chairs and a shower is also available for enjoyment of the guests.  

20. Can we have breakfast/dinner at the outside terrace? Yes, you are free to move light patio furniture at the inside terrace to outside terrace for breakfast or dinner or just open the glass folding doors to join the outside and inside terraces.

21. Can we rinse our diving equipment at the outside terrace?  Unfortunately, this is not allowed.

22. Does the property has 110 or 220 VAC power outlets ? You have both options available.

23. Are pets allowed? Unfortunately pets are not allowed at our property.
